The Government of the Republic of South Sudan (GRSS) has received a Grant from the African Development Bank toward the cost of the Strategic Water Supply and Sanitation Improvement Project (SWSSIP), and intends to apply part of the agreed amount for this Grant shall be used for payments under the contract for Consultancy services for feasibility studies and detailed, engineering designs for improvement and expansion of water supply system and distribution network at Malakal and Renk County Council. The services under this project include the following: (i) Reviews and Baseline Studies; (ii) Water Resources Assessment; (iii) Feasibility Studies and Pre-design Phase; and (iv) Detailed Engineering Designs.

Qualifications required

Minimum of a Master Degree in Water Resource Engineering/Hydrology/Hydrogeology.

Professional experience required

He/she must have a minimum of 15 years overall experience
Experience and interest in living and working in remote and unstable locations
Experience in developing countries under harsh condition will be mandatory.
Minimum 15 years of on-site experience in water resource assessment in semi/arid areas in connection with water supply projects.
Experience in developing countries in water sector will be mandatory.
Good command of written and spoken English.

8 -10 months during a total project period of 18 months
