Water Treatment Specialist/Process Engineer (Water Supply and Sanitation Improvement Project), Juba South Sudan

The Government of the Republic of South Sudan (GRSS) has received a Grant from the African Development Bank toward the cost of the Strategic Water Supply and Sanitation Improvement Project(SWSSIP), and intends to apply part of the agreed amount for this Grant shall be used for payments under the contract for Consultancy services for Feasibility Studies, Detailed Engineering Designs, Preparation of Tender Documents for Improving the Water Supply system and Supervision of Works Contract in Juba City Phase II. The services under this project include the following: (i) Feasibility Studies; (ii) Water Resources Assessment; (iii) Detailed Engineering Designs, (vi) Preparation of tender Documents and (v) Supervision of Works Contract

Qualifications required

Minimum of a Master’s Degree in Civil/Water/Environmental/ Chemical Engineering or equivalent.

Professional experience required

Minimum 10 years of relevant experience, in process designing and calculations of water treatment plants
Experience in at least 5 projects including design and/or construction treatment facilities.
Experience in preparation of tender documents for plant and design-build contracts for construction of water treatment plants.
Operational experience of water treatment will be an advantage.
He/she must have a minimum of 15 years overall experience; International working experience of min. 10 years.
Good command of written and spoken English.


8 -10 months during a total project period of 18 months
